Adam M. Pace

Attorney

Adam Pace has extensive experience in civil litigation, trial, and appellate work in both state and federal court. 

His practice focuses on property and real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and appeals.  He also represents lawyers in all stages of attorney discipline proceedings.  Mr. Pace helps his clients solve problems and accomplish their objectives efficiently through attention to detail, creative thinking, focused legal strategy, and effective leveraging of technology.

Assisted lawyers in responding to and obtaining dismissal of Attorney Misconduct Complaint in the United States District Court for the District of Utah, March 2022.

Successfully defended lawyer before screening panel of the Ethics & Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court, obtaining dismissal of all charges of unprofessional conduct.

Dismissal of Bar Complaints.

Assisted numerous lawyers in responding to bar complaints and other requests for information from the Office of Professional Conduct, successfully persuading the OPC to dismiss complaints of unprofessional conduct without escalation to screening panel or district court proceedings.

Civil Litigation

Trial Win, Nov. 2022. 

Successfully defended clients against claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of partnership agreement by obtaining defense judgement after bench trial.

Summary Judgment Win, April 2022. 

Successfully defended clients against claims of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of partnership by obtaining summary judgement dismissing all claims. 

Release of Lis Pendens, Feb. 2022.

Won motion to release lis pendens against client’s property in Quiet Title action, including award of attorney’s fees and costs against plaintiff who recorded the notice.  The court’s ruling on the motion led to a settlement and dismissal of the case a few weeks later.   

Trial Win, Dec. 2021. 

Successfully defended clients in unlawful detainer lawsuit, obtaining defense ruling and award of attorney’s fees against plaintiff after bench trial. 

Summary Judgment Win, Dec. 2021. 

Obtained summary judgment for plaintiff in lawsuit over real estate purchase contract, including specific performance judgement and award of attorney’s fees.

Successfully defended lawyers in legal malpractice lawsuit by obtaining summary judgement dismissing all claims.

Successfully defended client against claims of trespass, conversion, and intentional infliction of emotional distress by obtaining summary judgment dismissing all claims.

Trial Win, April 2019. 

Successfully defended client against claims of negligence in car accident case by obtaining defense verdict after four-day jury trial.
